VHS and VHS-C Tapes

The Scan Studio can take your old VHS and VHS-C tapes and digitally convert them to watch on your TVs and computers, bringing back many old memories. Over time we have digitised all kinds of tapes for customers, including weddings, christenings, school plays and sporting events. Prices for video conversions start from £12 a tape with discounts available for 5 or more.

Mini DV Tapes

Many manufacturers used mini DV Tapes for their camcorders, including Sony, Panasonic, Canon and Sharp. DV (Digital Video) Tapes were an alternative to their rivals Hi8 Tapes and allowed direct connection to a computer equipped with a Firewire or iLink port, unfortunately not many computers came with them built in. Prices for conversations start from £12 each with discounts for multiple cassettes.

Video8 & Hi8 Tapes

Video8 and Hi8 (High-Band Video8) Tapes are analogue 8mm tapes used by some manufacturers before changing to the more modern DV Tapes. These tapes were very popular in the 1990s with home camcorders and could be transferred directly to VHS Video through your famil video recorder. vPrices for conversations start from £12 each with discounts for multiple cassettes.

Cine Film

Before camcorders, many families used cine film to record their precious family moments. Cine film is an 8mm film format which only carries moving images but did not record any sound. Cine reels come in many sizes, The Scan Studio convert 3″, 4″ and 5″ reels with prices starting from £12 and discounts for additional reels.
